Outrigger on an S3

Hi all,
I'm looking at having some work done to repair a rusty outrigger on my S3 and have had some quotes in to repair both - as it seems most places see it as being a false economy to lift the body to only repair/replace one.
Now the quotes i'm getting range from £1300-2000 for the works (replace, derust chassis, repaint and waxyol in the more expensive case) but i've spoken to one S3 owner who had one outrigger repaired for around £400 (no actual replacement).
My question is whether any of you have had a repair done on your outriggers (i'm sure most of you will have had at some point in the past!) and what you paid for what you had done and where?

If one needs doing I would be amased if the other didnt need attention, also the seat belt mounts for th inertia reels.I would say do them all at the same time, my neighbour had his done for £1250 + vat
Whay about the trailing arms are they OK?

I've just discovered one of mine needs extensive repairs passenger side sill tube has snapped just behind the body mount plate, looks like it's rusted on top and not been able to put up with the roads over here.
It's impossible to tell how much work needs doing until the body is lifted but I expect the other side to look nearly as bad in the same area, there is some rust in other places but I don't know how bad yet.
If you expect to replace both then you can be pleasantly surprised when only one needs doing, much better than the nasty shock of a much bigger than expected bill.

Hi All, I to am in the process of trying to find a garage to replace both outriggers at a reasonable cost have been quoted £1500 all in from Offord and waiting for Track v Road to make a S jig not sure if will need trailing arms as well any other contacts ? posted similar a while ago but lost all when pc crashed.
