Flatbed truck

Hi Guys,

My TVR is awaiting shipping to get an engine rebuild after a HGF, unfortunately due to funds, I can't get it done for a few months. I am moving house in a few weeks and want to get it taken to the new house so that I can work on some cosmetic / minor things and keep it in a garage.

Does anybody know how I organise a flatbed to get it moved? I live in London (NW3) and am moving to Woking in Surrey. Any help appreciated.

I'd try to find someone with a race car trailer and ask nicely to borrow for appropriate compensation - much cheaper than a specialist doing the job. Try some of the TVR indies (perhaps with involvement with Racing), they may know of someone.

If funds are tight how about hiring a trailor.... especialy if any of your other cars have a towbar/ or a mate with a tow bar.... (GT Towing at Potters Bar hire them I think).

or AA/RAC cahnge your address with them and make out you need car taken home on their recovery scheme not sure if this is ethicaly correct

if not maybe a local garge or someone like saunders will give you an all in price to move it.....
