What are early views on it like?

Much difference to the D40? (if i can find one)

ETA: Or of course its about the same price as the D60

It seems to be an effort to make life really easy... from what I've read it's kind of like a point and shoot compact interface - but through the lens with the ability to change lenses.

There will be a simple dial with mountains for landscapes, a face for portraits etc... not sure if it'll still do all the grown up stuff (apature priority, +/- EV etc) ... probably.

Stuff moves at such a pace that I'll bet it takes better photos than the D40.
