....your pride and joy and help out a local school fayre in the process? I've just promised to help out our local primary school near Marlow, Bucks, with their Summer Fayre. I'm looking for volunteers to come and park their gleaming machines for everyone to drool over.
The Summer Fayre is on Sunday 20 Sep, from 11:30 to 15:00 but you don't need to commit for the full time, even an hour or so is fine (though 2 would be better!). I'm not sure how much space there will be but will check that out this afternoon.
Please either reply here or PM me for more details. Once I have a better idea of what's available space-wise, I'll post again.
I'll clearly be there with my Tuscan and if we can get a variety of models, that would be even better.

Fantastic - two offers and both different models!
I've just been round there to have a look at 'our' space and I think I could fit in about 10-12 cars max at any one time. The space I've been offered is in the bottom left of this Google map, the diagonal piece. They are also having go-carts and they are in the large square on the left hand side.
The details are: Danesfield School Autumn Fayre (my mistake I thought it was still their Summer Fayre) on Sun 20 Sep from 11:30 to 15:00, Henley Rd, Marlow, Bucks, SL7 2EW.

You do know that small children scream when the engine is revved dont you

Hazel, That would be fantastic as well! Any 'posh' sports car is most gratefully received and it is certainly not restricted to TVRs only, I just thought I'd get a better response in the TVR General Gassing than the normal General Gassing. Anything for the kids and parents (read Dad's) to drool over is good.
Timing should work well, over the Silverstone for the PH sunday service at 9:00 , quick breakfast then head off at 10 to arrive with you about 11:15 ish.
I take it we should use the entrance at the bottom left side of that google map pic rahter than driving into the car park proper ?

Details for Sunday are as follows:
The Fayre starts at 1130 so it would be good if you could arrive between 1115 and 1130. I'll probably be there from 1100ish. The location can be found at this Google map link. You'll need to come in via this turning.
Directions are: From the A4155 (Marlow or Henley) Enter at South Close and turn right into Thames Reach and follow it all the way and round to the left. The entrance to the car park is the first on the right. We have the 'diagonal' space allocated to us. The 'car park' with parking lines will be in use by the organisers and teachers so we can't use that.

Anyone else with a 'smart car' (but not a Smart Car) is more than welcome - any Ferrari or Maserati owners out there? (that browse the TVR General Gassing obviously!)

Unfortunately I have badly sprained my ankle for the second time in four weeks so I am unable to drive the Chim. However I am doing my best to persuade my husband to drive the Chim over and I will bring the GT-R. He is already doing the fete at Emmbrook School on the Saturday but we should be ok, after all the kids will have a great time.

Sorry to hear that you won't be driving your Pride and Joy(?) on Sunday but very grateful that you are still taking the time to come along. Is the Chim (clutch?) that much heavier than the GT-R? The event is open to everyone, not just Danesfield Primary School kids, so bring 'em along, the more the merrier!
