Took the opportunity yesterday to climb a hill in Wales on a rather wet, miserable and windy day.

Why ?

Because these fella's were screaming past at 150Ft . Enroute to the top - a series of F15's screamed over my head (of course the camera was in the rucksack). The noise on a scale of 1 - 10 came out at 11.

Some rubbish photo's due to the grey sky / rain.. but they'll give you an idea

I'll certainly have to go back for another day - when the weathers nicer.

Wish I knew about that before I went.

I had been diverted whilst enroute to Kent due to a landslide so headed down a road and then out of nowhere two F15's were on my tail (think of looking in your side mirror and seeing a jet fast bearing down on you).

Looked up to see it go past and then followed it's path and saw some folks on the hillside. I decided to park up and walk up the hill to get some shots even though the weather was garbage.

Its not one of the viewing points on that list.

However I chose to park here : On Google Maps put in the box droga z aberystwyth do liverpool 01

Follow the sheep track to the fence line on the edge of the ridge (walking northwards) and view from somewhere on the ridge

If you view it on Google Earth.. The viewing point is 52°42'30.70"N 3°50'42.10"W

Great little set. Well done for getting a frontliner to.
I've never had a good day up the Bwlch frown Cad West is pretty good and some of the photos from the "pros" or locals who get lots of time to practice are phenominal. They get requests from the RAF pilots for photos which include them.
The area is known as the Mach Loop smile
