Hi all

MOT time again - apart from the highest emissions the tester had ever seen, I need a new wiper blade.

At the moment I have an s2 or late s1 blade on a standard arm - it was never perfect but now it sucks (actually misses most of the 'wiped' area).

Has anyone tried the RainX Blades from Shell (or another solid type blade).

Any other fixes?

Cheers

Not tried the solid ones but have recently changed to an S2 arm with espace an Espace wiper blade that comes with built in spray bar. The improvement is enormous. There is a guide on the SELOC Wiki.

It really helps when they quote "Make sure you buy the wiper blade for the correct side of the car." and then dont tell you which one is the right one for the Elise

The one you want is this one (The Valeo one with spraybar)

http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/renault-espace-1992-w...

You'll also need an S2 Wiper arm and some 3mm bore tubing (ebay).

Doing good fella. Hows the new job. I see from other posts that the "reliable" Porker, is proving so reliable that a Lotus should be your next car and a major inprovement

Yes that Porsche has let me down more in 4 months than the Lotus did in 9 years. AND THAT IS A FACT. Difference is though I was the only owner of the Lotus so knew all it's history. For sure with a secondhand (pre-owned car) you don't lose so much money the instant you drive it off the forecourt, but you do inherit the unreliability that may have been causwed by previous owners.

As for the original question re: right hand or left hand wiper blade..... it depends when you turn the ignition off while the wiper is in action. wink
