...and my word it's fun.

Here 'til Saturday (based near Nairn) if anyone else wants to meet up for a hoon. PM me.

Speyside is currently my oyster (although I went across to the west coast today to do the A832, A896 and the Wester Ross coastal road plus the pass over there. (http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11576) Crazy road - not fast except for a few places, but very scenic (single track all the way, with some quite narrow bits, dodgy edges in places, rather damp today too). Fun, though, and the road engineering and scenery are both staggering. ;-)

Ah, just how I remember it smile. Smooth, traffic free, BIB free, camera free, entertaining roads with well sighted corners joined by fast straights. Shame about the weather rolleyes

Agree totally......but,as your picture shows, the often poxy weather can remove a lot of the joy.

I tried Scotland twice....once had to give up at border and go back to London as the rains were so heavy (and was on a bike).

Next time spent 5 days there, all but 4 were torrential rain or depressingly black skies.

However, that one day the sun shone.....man, absolute driving paradise.

Yeah, should have ditched it for the photos - I actually took it off about 30 seconds after I took that last one. Got wet four times yesterday cloud-dodging. :-)

Better?

The A833 out of Milton on the west coast of Loch Ness is fantastic, by the way. :-)

Spent a week earlier this year basically doing an entire lap of Scotland - Lotuses were built for roads like those!

Enjoy drivingthumbup

I live 20 mins from Dukes Pass, Lomond and all points north - not a better place to be and not a better car to be there in. Excellent - cool pics btw.

Best decision I ever made moving to Scotland - I live in Fife where there are no fixed cameras! Heading up to Glen Coe and Ballachulish for a long weekend in the Esprit. Its a great antidote to being stick in London during the week.

lol, i've done it the other way round. During the week i'm living/working in Edinburgh and on the weekends back down south smile

Also gearing up again for an Exige in my life biggrin

Is there any good clubs/forums up round Edinburgh for advice etc?
