I have an 07 Europa, and my drivers side rear tyre has uneven wear - on 8000 miles

The fronts and the passengers rear are fine.

I guess this would be down to tracking, or even pressure (which I've never checked) and all that ?

Could it also be I'm really the only person in the car most of the time ??

In general it drives absolutely fine, with no shaking/wobbling or anything dramatic.

At this stage, I think the tracking needs looking into and whilst I'm doing that I should also get the front-wheel geo done as everyone seems to say it improves the roadhandling (less understeer) of this vehicle.

At this stage I want to keep the OEM wheels, as I think they look fine.

I've toyed with the idea of a Milltek, but only to give it a better sound - I'd rather not have the vehicle noisier as I use it most days.

My dealer (Vindis) has now shut-down so my options have expanded a bit.

Could anyone (and I welcome a dealer comment here) advise me of the best course of action together with approx pricing ?

Thanks
Rog

if it;s only one tyre, then it's not likely to be tracking, as this would show on both front tyres.

pressure is the obvious one, followed by a damper problem or the like.

Rog,

Were you using Vindis in St Ives? if so we are in Kimbolton next to Eliseparts shich isn't far away. We have a Lotus approved Hunter wheel alignement system being installed at the moment so we can check and amend your geo if required however as Simon says I'd expect it to show on both tyres if it was geo unless one is significantly worse than the other in which case it could be more noticeable on one particular tyre in the short term.

Hi Stephen

Can you do the front-wheel geo that everyone seems to talk about with the Europa ?

Its the rear wheel thats got the uneven wear

Also, how much?? (If this is advertising you may have to message me - but not sure how you do that)

Also, I suspect these machines leave the factory in only a vague form of alignment - would I be right in that as well ??
