Whats the easiest way to get a Makro card nowadays?
Discussion
Years ago I used to have a Makro card through a company I worked for. But now it seems that unless you have your own company it seems very difficult to get one.
Anyone know of any shortcuts or loopholes? I have a friend who has one, and he has got me stuff in the past but I could really do with one myself.
Cheers
Peter

Pretty sure that you are correct, you will need your own business, and in order to join will be required to produce a corresponding business card and letterhead along with your application. You could always see if the company you work for now would be interested in joining?
If you need to do a trip to Makro for anything specific, any Makro Card holder is allowed to take a second person in with them.

Thats just it, I dont work for any company. I looked at the application form and it seems they want company bank statements/ accounts etc. If it were just letter heads and business cards that wouldnt be a problem. I can get stuff from Macro...I could pick you up something or meet you there. Easy.
Cheers Neil, there's nothing specific at the moment that I want, but there are occasions where I would like to be able to just pop in and get coffee or bog rolls in bulk for example, being just down the road it would be handy.Defcon5 said:
I thought anyone could join Makro, but it was Costco that was a little more strict
With Costco, you either have to have your own business (trade membership), or fit into their list of approved professional occupations, such as lawyer, doctor, fireman etc (personal membership). As with Makro, you can still take in guests. Anyone near Reading need to go then let me know
