Lucky Escape....

On the A34 this morning about 8 a.m. doing XXX mph when a car pulls out about 100 yards behind me and I see the blue flashing lights from the front grill.
I think "Oh S**t" and slow down awaiting the inevitable.
The car puts out the blue light and tails me at 100 yards distance until my exit a distance of about a mile. As I pull off, the unmarked car carries on northbound.
I am now, but at the time I was
Mr/Mrs Policeperson.

I'd guess that they saw you going quickly too late, and as you slowed down then they couldn't get a fix on your speed.
The A34 is a wonderful road in places (especially in the bit where Swampy and his lot tried to halt it!), and onwards up to the newely dualed A40 (or A42?) to N'hampton, lovely...
But Mr Plod being charitable? Hmmmm. Perhaps - you were lucky!!
