To the van and car who were taking it in turns to orbit a middle lane hog on the M20 this afternoon - top marks, it made me laugh.

The aim is to see how many orbits you can achieve before the MLM realises they should be in the empty left lane.

I love doing this. I always wonder what the halfwit getting orbited thinks is going on. I'm starting to think that these people genuinely believe that the middle lane is where they are supposed to be and that it's the handful of good drivers who are wrong.

And delay your journey for people who really don't care (& possibly have no idea) what you are doing.

Anything that breaks the monotony of motorway driving is a good thing; it increases alertness and therefore safety. What's not to like?

They probably don't even realise. I've seen it discussed before & can sort of see why people do it, I'd rather continue my journey & pass them at 100 in which ever lane suits wink

You carry on. You're wasting your own time, not mine.

Adult games like 'smash the protesters face in' 'impound the innocent motorists car' and 'arrest the citizen protecting his property'?

Actually I don't do those either.

Danny.
D'ya think... maybe those two drivers are PHers? I certainly have never heard of orbiting until I started reading these forums!

I am yet to try it myself though.

Don't be . Von does his job, just like any of us. From his posts in S,P&L i get the impression he's a nice guy. It's a bit much to tarnish everyone with the same reputation as that provided to you by the handful of bad coppers out there.

I just stick in L1, it means I end up passing the bulk of the traffic, but that's hardly my fault.

Saturday morning, A38 from Derby to Burton, it was like being on a French Autoroute.

The problem is those 'bad coppers' now seem to be the majority and they are the ones who we hear about.

Maybe if they weren't so well protected and supported from within the Police ranks people might have some faith but seeing as how it appears bad policing is an accepted part of policing these days and defended to the hilt by other Police officers people have lost all respect.

If you want to prove me wrong do so but all I hear and see is story after story of disgusting treatment of innocent people at the hands of the police but never any action taken to stop it.

I'm currently st scared of being stitched up by some bent rozzer misusing an abhorrent terrorism law.

Why do we never hear of any diciplinary action?

Because

1) Not every allegation is a just truthful allegation.
2) You don't look in the right places to find the results of the just truthful allegations.
