Unfortunatly a deal fell through on swapping my Sagaris for a Cayman 777. The markets really bad in Ireland to sell cars at the minute so i have decided to keept he Sagaris. However as it performs so bad on the really bad country roads i live on i want to find a good service center in the uk to change the setup completly. I want it to be driveable on the worst roads you could possibly imagine. These are so bad compared to the uk roads. I need to make it a hell of alot softer. But i also dont want to spend much money on it. I dont want it to be a waste if i get it back over to Ireland and its still undrivable.

Also i originally ordered my Sagaris in Chameleon Green and i would adore to get it resprayed to the color i always wanted. So i need a place that is amazing at setup but also amazing at full resprays .... at a very good price .... asking much? =P

Let X-works (The ex Bristol Avenue lads, Kirkham (Wesham) near Blackpool have it, they can take it to Surface & Design (at Bristol Avenue) and get your respray.... Talk to the Irish TVRcc men if any doubts, they used to look after the Red Sag of one of them. You can get a ferry to Fleetwood be better than Holyhead, provided it's not the "River Dance"... last seen on Blackpool beach being dismantled.

Don't expect an S&D respray to come cheap, it won't...but it will be the dogs when you get back.... Your spec was the rather wild one wasn't it ?? ... Green outside and a Pink interior or similiar ... I did feel sorry for you when it got stuck on the line, guess the administrators got it in the end.

Another vote for X-Works. They adjusted the suspension up on the silvery-blue car of Patrick McC over there, so it might be worth having a word with him as to how well it worked.

Glow Worm ~ Thats deadly glow, i was thinking x works to be honest but had forgotten the name! What price would a full respray be usually. Im scared to know to be honest =P The original spec was chameleon green and purple and black interior, im not quite wild enough for pink! I got a car with the exact interior i wanted, just the wrong exterior in the end! God knows where that poor other shell ended up!

DAMIAN NORTON ~ They may indeed be able but i want the very best i can get this time. Its been plenty of places over the past 3 years including many different dealers in the uk but none have made it much better. This is my last ditch attempt because to be honest i really dont like it much =P All i want is a driveable car on irish roads for long distances. As it is, its unbearable long distance which is a shame. Instead i use a very track focused exige s for long distances which is perfect in everyway except it cant fit a big suitcase and a passenger, which can be quite inconvenient =P

Surely Trackcar solutions or Raceproved could sort? Stick the car on the boat across to Liverpool, then an hour or so to drive to these guys to sort the handling. Surely you just need to ensure you have softer springs and softer settings on dampers BUT you might find a sagaris doesnt handle as well with such settings?

IMU it's not to "sort" the handling, the Saggy rides and handles well on poor surfaces; but it's to raise the ride height to deal with the Irish roads. I drove the silvery-blue car and the handling is spoiled! (But at least you can use it).

X-Works don't have a website but ring Heath anytime... I do .....
I've just a had a front end respray (plus spare inspection bonnet,front grill and splitters) and cost well over £1000.. but you are better talking to Andy for a price (my paint costs £xxx/litre) ....I've got in trouble before over costs of resprays.... It all depends how its done... I can assure you S&D will remove doors etc., take it down to base, respray everything as though it was that colour originally... they are doing the unfinished cars for Racing Green at the moment ,to new customer specs.My Tuscan bonnet had some signs of rippleing from when TVR had originally done it as new, S&D (for £500) completely refinished it... like glass... not a pull line or anything spot on. I've heard it said a respray after a few years is a lot better finish that when new on GRP because it has had more time to settle.... If that's what you want and can afford it ... then go for it.... I provide reasonable accommodation for TVR enthusiasts (X-Works and S&D customers) ... well I have in the past.... and I'm not a hotel.

Take it for test drives around Beacon Fell before and after.... that should reasonably well represent the BEST in Irish roads.

Hi Glowworm

I provide reasonable accommodation for TVR enthusiasts (X-Works and S&D customers)

I will take you up on that offer when i get my next car resprayed at S&D (not too soon). After such a long journey it is allways nice to know there are fellow TVRenthusiasts to share a few beers and stories.
Of course if you fancy a trip to the Octoberfest y can return the favour.

If the roads are really bumpy - might be worth investigating putting on higher profile tyres..

Going from a 30 to a 40 profile would give a huge
ride benefit IMHO.

Remember that Peter Wheeler did not want his car's handling ruined by the fashion that is ever large wheels.. as they will always be heavier than a smaller wheel with a higher profile.

Might be worth checking out the early Tuscan wheels / tyres and maybe the 16inch Tamora wheels. They look similar to your and are cheap as chips.

hi funky,speak to greg from torqueflyte in ballygowan. most of the guys,south of the border,along with everyone up north use him.im sure he can get your suspension sorted without going over the water.
anyone from the tvrcc,north and south will reccomend him.
ive also heard of a place,i just forget the name at moment,off the castlereigh road in belfast,great for re-sprays and easy on the pocket.im getting a front-end done in the winter.
