Thoughts on this T350

The fact that its cat D, is not a problem! you pay less for the car and you get less when you sell it.
Some of the minor damage i have seen that have made a car become Cat D is shocking, frankly discusting, specially with rarer car where bodyshops feel they can charge a premium.
There are cars which will of had far worse damage but are not on HPI and people will never know. Most cars that are smashed while only insured 3rd party will go straight back on the road repaired and dont go on HPI.

That's the problem. It's pretty much exactly what I was looking for in a TVR, just worried about the Cat D thing and whether it'll spring any unseen surprises in the chassis etc. Suppose first step would be to investigate the history of the damage.
You guys don't seem to be put off much by it, might be worth looking at (although it's on the other side of the country for me!)

I've seen the car at Ryan's workshop. He repaired and resprayed my car, excellent attention to detail. I would have no hesitation in considering this one, it really is stunning.
Ryan is a good honest guy and has the car serviced by Torque RVT, who have an excellent reputation.

I seem to remember it was pretty clean. I seem to recall that Ryan mentioned that he was thinking of getting the seats recovered, as he put in the ad the drivers seat has a split. He is a perfectionist, which is why he got my business!
