e39 m5..code 33 l/h speed sensor

hello all,
i have the traction/abs and dbc light illuminated on the dashboard. my mechanic has the snap on scanner with the correct keys.
we have a code 33 lh speed sensor code. so weve changed the abs sensor on that side but the code is still there and the lights are back on.
any ideas?

Its not uncommon for the face of the hub to be damaged when changing the sensor,it is plastic and is easily damaged when removing the old sensor.

Either that or the scanner is lying and has told you the wrong side,or faulty new sensor ect.
