Any recommendations for budget friendly HT leads?

Try Formula Power on 08707775080. I got some blue silicone leads for my S1 there. Friendly guy. They do other colours. Web site is www.formulapower.com

You need to specify the plug conector with a half bend for no 4 lead other wise you may find it melts (expereince here) on manifold.

I think that you may get them slightly cheaper in Halfords, but they are not a stock item and have to be ordered. I think the standard ones are not the same quality though.

Not sure about the 2.8 engine but on the 2.9 the way the exhaust manifolds are routed it helps to have angled spark plug ends on the leads, many after market leads are straight which probably works fine on Granada's etc but not so good on Tiv's
