AP photographer Emilio Morenatti takes pictures as he is carried on a stretcher. Morenatti, whose left foot was amputated after he was injured by a bomb blast in Afghanistan, was transferred Tuesday to a rehabilitation hospital in Baltimore, where he will be fitted for a prosthesis.

Boston Globe's big picture is a fantastic feature. Basically one web developer with access to AP/Getty etc's entire picture libraries, chosing one subject a day and putting up 30-40 pictures.
