The 'Final Ever' GT5 Prologue Championship

Right i'm going to stick my neck on the block here and say that GT5 will be out in early December 2009 (Both Kazanouri and Sony SCEE President Andy House say "shortly" after the PSP GT release of October 1st) so I plan to run the "final ever" Prologue championship up until then. Because lets face it, none of use are going to carry on playing Prologue once the full game is released as we'll all be purchasing it on or around release day.
If we get a release date of before December then we'll discuss what to do accordingly.

We'll have a 2 week long opener to give the regular contenders a break, that give's us 13 weeks to the end of November.

Points system will remain the same as per the current championship as its working well.

The "combo cut-off point" will remain midnight on a Friday.

I'll allow people to set times in advance in case of work/family/hoilday commitments etc but will discourage people from working through the list setting times deliberately in advance of the published timetable below.

Anyone past, present or future is welcome to join in

New Stuff

Every fourth week we'll run with N2 tyres as apposed to the usual S2 (except week 12, see below) just to make it a bit more interesting

For the final two weeks we'll use the online time trials (these can be found under the list of races in the online section of the game) these will be picked by the following:

Week 11 by the guy in last place in the championship
Week 12 by the guy in first place in the championship

We will have no way of knowing what combo's will be availble to us until nearer the time. If the guy in last place is no longer taking part in the championship, then we will work up the points list until we find someone who is!.

So here is the combo list, i've tried to use cars that we've not already used, obviously we're limited to the number of tracks so we're just going to work through them in order but avoiding Daytona Speedway.

Good work Rufus, I'll be continuing with this, but will still only get chance to put in 20 mins per week. Will get chance to have a crack at the first one on Monday.

although i'm only 2secs off, so you should be able to take no.1 spot with a second to spare....

Well its a funny ole track HSR forward, there's normally a sweet spot on the final bend that changes depending on the car, it takes quite a while to find it and then even though you know where it is you keep overshooting and brushing the wall. If I give it a go though I'll not keep any secrets.

Thankfully nothing like this exists on rfactor.

...Or at least in the league I race in.

That last corner, with curb running or wall riding that only FAK seems to pull off is just total BS. On rfactor if you hit that curb you'd suffer a complete wipe out!

I played GP4, F1 challenge, netkar, liveforspeed and rfactor you name it,they were all good, the physics in Gran Turismo is quite brilliant, Its a shame about some of the cheats but as long as they sort it for the proper game then I'm happy.
By the way I just brushed the wall too following cheater FAK, the lap registered too but it doesn't matter I'll replace it next time I have a go I was well up on that lap, since we've got 2 weeks I don't suppose there's any rush.
