In the Tuscan manual it advises against the use of power hoses on the basis that the car will leak/fall apart etc.....is this realy true? Life is too short to spend weekends cleaning TVRs with toothbrushes - I'd rather be driving than cleaning - does anyone use power hoses?

I definately wouldn't take it through a car wash, however in the winter I regularily use a jet wash on the car. There are no problems as long as you are careful. If you avoid jeting directly at the window seals nothing should get in.

Worth being careful as jet washes can aggravate stone chips?

God, I sound like a moaning old granny today, but be careful with the brushes on the jet washes, as people leave them on the floor where stones/grit etc get into the bristles which you then scour all over your lovely paintwork.

Hmmm, pretty patterns.

Does anyone happen to know of a decent Jet Wash or wash yer own place in South West London?

Mine is filthy but I havent found a place that I like the look of really, the brush in the Texaco I tried the other day may as well have been a brillo pad!

Matt.

I've got a top of the line Karcher one, but nowhere to bloody use it as I live in a flat in Central London.
