Hi,

I could do with hiring a second Canon 5D MkII (body only) for next week (preferably with latest firmware)... does anyone know any suppliers they can recommend?

I have already tried hireacamera.com, kit hire, and camera rent, but they don't have any for Wednesday (forgot it was Bank Holiday Monday, and generally the procurement has been a little off the ball wrt getting this sorted sooner frown )

Cheers

Dave

Ah they look good.

We need it in London, pretty close to there too, so might be able to pick it up on the day (if they have one!)

Many thanks, will let you know if we manage to sort one or not smile

I very often used a company in Manchester to hire 300L f2.8, formerly Hargreaves photographic but long since Calumet Photographic. I noticed they now have stores all over the world, including one in London.

I remember that they had a fantastic range of equipment made available for hire & at very reasonable prices......I know it's been a while but the 300 used to cost me £50 for the weekend, not bad considering the retail cost which at the time was around the £4,500 mark.

Well I used Fixation and they were really handy. Good central location, pretty fast service inside (had a Taxi waiting outside happily), and a good price all said and done. Managed to sort me out very last minute so thumbs up to them! (also got a 24-70 L lens so basically duplicated what I took down (despite the camera ultimately running 50mm on that lens and me having a 50mm 1.8 with me, but you just never know what you might need smile ))

We have an account there now and so if we need stuff in London again will definately use them!

Cheers for the help everyone biggrin
