360 price changes

sounds like they are really pushing people towards the elite now - afterall why would you pay 159.99 for that when £40 more gets you an elite?

and they're discontinuing the Pro model (60GB) altogether!

That's annoying as I bought a new Elite a couple of weeks ago.

It's only about £20 different though I think?

Bah, I was hoping they would all be reduced so I could pick an Arcade up cheap to replace my launch model Pro and get back on Live.

Well that's a pain in the arse... I was using my brothers console to get on Live while he was on holiday. Downloaded Trial HD and a carpack for Forza and I can't play either of them on my console now!

Nah I wasn't daft enough to use his gamertag... surprisingly!

It just says this console does not have the required DLC or somesuch, I guess it locks the download to the serial of the console and not just gamertag/HDD!

Download it again (it should be free if you used the same gamertag) and all will be fine, you just need to sort the licenses out.

What's the big deal with the elite other than it's large HDD?..

Is it quieter/faster..?

I just changed mine for an Elite, not a lot different. It's a bit quieter as it has the Falcon chipset which a lot of white Xboxs will have now too.

The main thing is the HDD, and it's worth getting so you can put games on it and save the DVD drive being hammered. If you buy it seperately it's expensive.

Um, it's black. Originally they came with HDMI, now they all do

Not sure how the price will compare though.
