Just wondering really..

Want to get a new drivers license cause I have moved house.. You can only get one with your photo. It also seems to have your name and address..

National Identity card through the back door ??????

Same here but no problem. I think its a good idea. But its a bit daft having a neat plastic card and a wad of paper work to go with it.

I have been putting off getting a new licence (address + adding bike licence) for exactly this reason.

I may well do it eventually, but I will make damn sure that I always leave it at home in the drawer, where it is supposed to be. I utterly reject any introduction of an ID card in the UK on privacy grounds - I believe that the right to anonymity is a fundamental human right, with the sole exception of a legitimate request from a police officer.

Old-style licences also have the added advantage of confusing Plod in other countries. Try getting a US copper to understand it expires in 40yrs time......
