Yes you can.
Pros: As you stand and admire your new colour scheme you can see the horrified expressions on people behind you, a unique way of getting honest opinions.
Cons: You have a mobile mirror ball.

It's possible but technically illegal I think, although whether you'd actually get pulled for it is another matter. Wasn't one of the Dubai crowd driving round London in a chromed Murcie last year?

My 3 year old left me a voicemail on my phone last week saying that she had just seen an Aston Martin that looked like it had been dipped in molten silver (suspect my wife may have helped her out with the wording!). Even she thought it looked very silly!

Just what the world needed; another way for car owners with money to burn and a taste bypass to inform the populace that they are a cock.

Yes

Pros

Protects your original car paintwork from UV, stonechips, keying
Usually comes with a warrenty.
Panels can be rewrapped should they be come damaged.
Does not effect insurance as the covering is temporary, can be removed within 24hrs.
Can be very eye-catching.

Cons

Cost can be upwards of £1500+. More so if you want door shuts / engine bay etc wrapping also.
Will become a highly visable target for chavs and BIB
MOT testers will be unsure how to catagorise chrome on the MOT certificate. Had problems with the camo wrap on my 206 so they listed it multi-coloured.

I've got a funny feeling this is the last we'll see of Rosco in this thread hehe

Its a pitty though, as i'm really curious as to what car he has in mind for this treatment...

On a supercar in the desert it looks silly, on a hatchback, or what ever you have in Scotland it will look ste, with out an army of people to clean and look after it the novelty will soon wear off.

A certain Blackburn Rovers football player has a chrome wrapped Merc SLR McLaren. His wife uses it for shopping at our local tesco!
