Does anyone know how hard it is to fit the garage door opener kits? Or does anyone here know a good company that can fit one?

Cheers

Going to view over the weekend, going to have it if all goes well, just a few minor snags to sort out first. Are Lambo's 'male'? Will have to think of a name for him, my wife names all our cars!

Im currently having an extenstion and Im after electric garage doors. The process Im going for is probably going to be to have the bog standard door fitted by the builders then have an electric up + over style retrofitted. We may have to see if doorman can do us a deal Gring!

Good idea, I have seen kits for around £150, but know nothing about how easy they are to fit.

Me neither. Im sure in principle they are very simple but im practice I expect that you need to be spot on with the motor to ensure it is all lined up correctly.
Im after one with a remote so when leaving or returning home you never need to get wet. I beleive roller doors are the best for design + longevity but you're talking close to a grand. They do look rather nifty though.

My garage door is an up and over type, I want to spend as little as poss. Just need somthing that does the job, remote is essential, I quite like the idea of the keypads you can get that fix on the wall that also opens the door.

I have seen kits on eBay and at Makro - depending on your door type.

£100~ and all you need is a 13amp socket near the motor/track mount.

If you have a particular door type then you might need an adapter to convert the horizontal movement to arc movement for about £20.

Well it's at Segensworth and you need a membership card. If you wanted I could meet you there to take a look at the offerings...

This does makes sense, however, for me all cars are female.

Do you not whisper her sweet nothings, apologise if you accidentally do something untoward or tell her you love her regularly?! cloud9

getmecoat

Do you really believe you look lovingly at a bloke and go for a ride in one every time you take her out? wink

hehe

Back on topic - Thanks to Simon and David at PGD, I highly recommend them. They did a great job for me, very high quality/standard at a competitive price and at short notice! thumbup
