Sorry, I'm not usually a fan of these "what's it worth" threads, but given that I might be forced to sell in the coming weeks (wife wants to move house and it's easier to get rid of the Elise than her).

It's a fairly straight forward question though because it is standard spec 2006 111r touring (MY55) in ardent red (see profile pic), 2 owners, FSH, good condition, 15,500 miles, 5 months tax and MOT.

The only "non-standard" bit to it is that I fitted a cold air induction kit about 4 months ago, which is great.

From what I've seen (on PH classifieds and EBay) they seem to have really held there value of late, maybe even appreciated?? I was thinking of looking for £17.5k no offers for a quick sale, sound about right or am I kidding myself.

Thanks (and sorry for posting a "what's it worth thread")

I would agree / Sounds about right ! - I take it without any other options other than touring pack?

Gutted you're having to sell it, mate. I remember you purchased about the same time I did and it was under your influence that I got the induction kit fitted at Pure Lotus. Price sounds about right, but surely you should consider trading in the wife instead? I'm afraid I'd render myself single long before I'd consider selling the Elise.

Yeah, I know I will look back on 2009 as the "summer of love" and not because of the wife. The problem with the housing market is that big deposits are required, so I need to cash in all my chips.

It is a shame, but it definitely won't be my last. If things work out as I plan, I'll have an SC in 12 to 18 months...

Well that's fair enough, I suppose. I guess you can get a car at a later date, but worth taking advantage of the favourable housing market now.

How miles have you done in Elise? I'm looking to an SC next as well; that extra 30bhp would be fantastic. Good luck selling it anyway. Any chance of seeing you at the NYLOC meet this evening? Maybe try sticking it up on the forum there - might find someone who's interested.

Oooh NYLOC tonight, that might be a good idea. I went once before, but I think I went too early because it was seemed quite cliquey.

What time are you going Andy, I might pop along for a cheeky orange juice...

I think 16k is more likely for a quick no offers sale. 111Rs with under 40k have been under 15k for some time now. I looked at a couple this time last year. However as you say the market has been kind. 17.5s not unreasonable, particularly for an LED/Electronic throttle car, but i think you'll get offers and wont sell overnight. Good luck!

Good to see you yesterday, Bobby. Sorry we didn't get time for more chat. All the best with selling the car. If you don't hurry to sell I can't see why you won't get £17k for it. Let me know if you're off to the next Buckles.

Thanks for all your advice guys, after looking around some more, I decided that £17.5 was a pretty good price for a quick sale - it really is in great nick. Anyway, it's all happening now:

Had a couple of nibbles so far, but no bites. I'm secretly happy that it hasn't gone yet...

Thanks again,
