Race Insurance - anyone bother?
Discussion
Just about to embark on my first season of motorsport in the Ginetta G20 championship. This is a very cheap series (for motorsport), and a fair degree of repair work has been budgeted for.
However, I did the Silverstone Race school earlier this year and the overriding opinion of the instructors that I spoke to said that if you can get insurance then take it.
Now these guys are usually to be seen in much more exotic machinery that I shall ever get my hands on, but they did start me wondering.
What does everybody on here do?

Nope, i did get a couple of quotes and it isnt that cheap.
300-600 quid a race for somthing worth 10-15k
I dont know of any of the tasmin guys that used insurance..
just keep out of trouble and dont hit anything.
in a ginetta like a taz most prangs can be fixed with some grp and a bit of resin... although noses seem to be a consumable...
id spend the money on more coaching if i were you
