If somone lent on an Elise with a lit cigarette in their hand and the tip rested on the bodywork, what damage would you expect?

I found small 'dent' at the top of one door, it's only about the size of a small fingernail and was covered in a clear gel-like fluid, which when I brushed it away revealed a small pit.

It wasn't parked next to any other cars at the time and the only other thing I could think of would be if a drop of acid had fallen on to it, but if some-one was going to vandalise it why wouldn't they do a 'better job'.

I'm well pi$$ed off as I've been quoted £532 plus 111s badge to fix it as the whole door and part of the front wing would need re-spraying. :cry

that seems an awful lot of money for a minor job, yes you would have to blend in the paint- but over the whole door???? Chipsaway may be an option but depends on what that person is like.
I would get other quotes.
Good luck getting it sorted
