Since the V8S has slightly better ground clearance than the S3 - can you put 55 profile tyres on intead of 60 without problems driving over sleeping policemen etc?

Anyone tried both profiles?

I have 225 50 15 tyres on my S4 (same chassis set up V8S?) and speed bumps are a nightmare. I have to drive along the centre of the road when I come across the bumps in the middle of the road.
What wheels are fitted? I want to go to 17" when I get the funds.

I've used various Bridgestones and Yokohamas in that size range over the years, I have different rims now.

I noticed that 60 profile tyres had become available again recently in the correct rating. I was tempted to buy a set while stocks last.

I don't think you will gain in any way using the 55 if you are changing for performance gains, there is much more difference between manufacturers than you would notice going from 60 to 55 in the same spec tyre.
