CS4 and Mac desktop

When I open CS4 on my Mac the desktop background is still in view behind the image I may be working on. I find it a bit distracting . I'm sure there must be an easy way to get rid.

If you press F, this will change the view, or you can click on the bottom icon in the toolbar.
