I suppose this is more of a post for those of you that haven't had the chance to visit the exhibition as opposed to a show of photography skill but I thought I would show you his stuff anyway,

He is just pure class! The three hour queue after 2 months of it being open is proof of that!

Thanks for sharing. I thoroughly enjoyed that.

I am surprised that photography was allowed!

The aged Tweety Bird is freakishly compelling, and I love the burkha'd woman wearing the lingerie apron!

No problem! So was I! Although, absolutely no flash which made it very difficult as the lighting was fairly apalling, high ISO was the only way forward

Now then Tracey Eminem or whatever people call you you useless sack of water fat and bone. That stuff above is a real commentary on modern society.

Fun stuff - Terry Gilliam meets Magritte!

I would like to see it but is there always a long queue to get in, or was that over a weekend?

When Banksy did one of his first proper exhibitions apparently somebody sprayed across the windows "Banksy, you fking sellout!" which was quite funny.

Ive also heard that somebody sprayed next to one of his graf pieces "stencils are cheating, do it on the wall next time"
hehe

I really like those. He's taken something which has absolutely no appeal at all to a heathen like me and made it exceptionally interesting and enjoyable.

Well done Banksy, and even more well done to the museum curator for letting him!

It's been reported in the local press that Banksy let the museum have his works on display for the grand total of £1. Giving something back to the city he grew up in. Good on him. The hotels, restaurants and bars in the area have seriously benefitted.

Indeed so, but I think he also agreed to do it on condition that the museum gave him completely free rein to do what he wanted, and only found out themselves when he's finished the whole lot. Even if (or maybe because) it's Banksy, that's a pretty big leap of faith. smile

I think they're fantastic, witty and a bit thought provoking, would love to go and see the exhibition, but a bit too far to go at the mo. Luckily I work just round the corner from Shoreditch so there's a few banksy's around, not least a little mouse next to my favorite chile stand

How much money do you think he has made, what with being so secretive etc?
