Swear filter/footnotes/quote error

On the squirrel photo thread I put a 'swearword' in a footnote. Someone quoted me and the formatting was totally screwed up.

As a result someone else got the wrong idea or something and took offence, I have no idea about what or why (even taking into account the formatting issue it's quite bizarre) but a couple of chaps are virtually scrapping. I must say that since the P&P became a Yates wine lodge people are quick to kick off over the smallest things.

Anyway, just a polite note that although minor it might be worth having a look at the before someone gets glassed.

Looks to me like you didn't close the footnote properly, you closed it with a /quote instead
