and on the 27th DAY!

And I was still doing 40 at an altitude of 10' when I sailed past the magic marker!

now, back to the world

(hint - dont go all-out for speed, altitude or burners, try to use a measure of each and keep above 125mph and over 50' for as long as possible, once you're out of burner, reduce drag to 0 and then 'bounce' as you near the surface.)

ETA - well done!

I've cracked it!

Found that using about 30 degrees of attitude off the ramp, use full burner until fuel runs out at around 300 feet altitude, then set nose into a dive that maintains 120mph ish/ 1% drag, cruised passed 6000ft at 20' and 120mph without even touching the deck once.

My solution was slightly different. Kept dabbing the rocket (also at 1% drag) to maintain an altitude until the rocket ran out - again it sailed past the 6k. I think the sea bounce is a bit of a red herring.
