I've got a 350 wedge ,1989 ,and was wondering has anybody tried re-registering a TVR in Switzerland.
My job is taking me there in March and I really dont want to have to sell it

I have a friend who lives in Switzerland, who was in Uni in the USA. He had a Camero (spelling??) out there and wanted to bring it back to Switzerland. Besides the import tax and or Vat he had to pay, there was a number of issues such as changing headlamps (righthand to lefthand) etc, and the car had to then pass what is called a "Controle Technic", a Swiss equivilent to a UK MOT.
If you are there working for a resonably short time, it may be better for you to keep the UK plates, insure yourself to allow you to drive it abroad, keep it taxed with DVLA etc, oh and dont forget the stickers on the headlamps to save blinding other road users.
you will also have to have spare bulbs in the car and a warning triangle for emergency use....
