I currently keep my laptop in its dell cover and stick it in my carry on case, but thinking that I could do with getting a seperate bag for the laptop, and / or sleeve. It needs to be durable, to match a black samonsite case, and be able to have the handle of the carry on case securely attached.

Any pointers?

It is a dell xps1330 laptop if that helps.

there seem to be quite a few options on the Dell website, or could try the usual suspects in the high street for something cheaper! Alternatives in case you've not thought of them are that there are quite a few rucksack style laptop bags these days, or, I have a samsonite briefcase that was designed to hold a laptop + whatever else you can stuff in it.

Hi

Been through a few backpacks for carry on and the best one I have found is Swiss Gear

http://www.swissgear.eu/ecProduct_detail.asp?OID=9...

I have got the 15" and 17" versions and put my laptop inside in a protective sleeve as well. The great thing is all the other pockets it has with an ipod holder in a pocket and the usual pen holder etc. in another with side pockets as well.

I got mine at STAPLES which was a good deal at the time and cheaper than the RRP.

The thing I find about backpacks is the ease of moving along the aisle you have no bag to carry in your hands. Anyway that is a personal preference of mine.
