I know this have been asked a few times in the past, but I have a slightly different requirement in that I'm departing from Terminal 5 on BA, and returning the next day via Terminal 1. The BAA site wants you to enter what terminal you're leaving/arriving from but assumes you're going from the same one inbound and outbound. I assume it's easy enough to transer from one terminal to another but guess that costs too?

Ideally rather not leave my keys with whoever, as the clutch is on it's last legs at the moment, so would rather some oik didn't make it any worse by VTECing from the off wink

Sound like your best option is to use either the T5 self park (you can keep your keys) and then get the free shuttle from T1 back to T5 and then another to the car park.

Tricky, only ones that I know which service both terminals require your keys and a chimpanzee drives your car. Unless it's a hotel with car parking as part of an overnight stay package.

Option 1

If you can get an advance booking special in the T5 short stay I'd do that. Then you just have to organise a terminal transfer on return, which is free. eg Train Heathrow Express it is free from central to T5, then it is a short walk to the short stay car park. Or there are free buses. If you can't get advance booking saver, and you might not as it is a short duration trip, then that option will be a zillion bucks.

Tactic 2

Long term parking for T5 is right next door to Business Parking T1,T2,T3, it used to be Pink Elephant. You could park in the T5 Long term right up at the eastern end near to Business Parking T1 T2 T3. btw don't get confused with business parking T5 that is a completely different firm and different location! rolleyes

On return catch the bus to the BP T1 T2 T3 Pink El car park get off as soon as the bus enters the car park, iirc the bus enters the park right at the end nearest to the T5 long stay. Exit and walk along northern perimeter road to T5 long stay. I think you could sneak in through a barrier near the end. (Needs checking tbh: if not it's a f**k of a long walk.)

Tactic 3
T5 long term, then terminal transfer and bus out to T5 long term.

Unfortunately I'm not due back at Thiefrow for a few weeks or could scope it out in more detail.

Ah! Didn't realise there's a free train transer between the terminals (show's how much flying I do from Heathrow!) Think I'll just book-up the BAA Business Parking Terminals 1-3 and get the train from T1 to T5. That way when I return at 10pm the next day I can just get the bus to the carpark for T1 smile

Cheers all!

In which case, prebook 'Park1' - excellent, excellent service. You can park your pride and joy next to the police compound wink
