Anyone recommend some good quality but not stupidly expensive bedroom furniture?

We like the look of some of the stuff from Argos but wonder if it's going to be too flimsy and not very sturdy. Also like the stuff from Next.

Probably looking to spend @£800 on a wardrobe and chest of drawers.

Thanks.

I think most stuff you will get from argos is going to be tat.

Try small shops in your local area. You should be able to get solid wood furniture for that money (even if it's made overseas and imported).

Said it before, will say it again.

Antique shop!

Cheapest 'decent' wardrobe I could find new was £500 for solid wood. Picked up a lovely Victorian wardrobe which looks a lot better, is in Walnut and mine for just over £200.

Happy days.

Spot on. Especially if you're looking for brown stuff and not contemporary.
