As the title says really. I've given up looking for a good MX5 specialist down here, so now I'm looking for (A) someone that knows what they are doing around supercharged engines, and (B) a general good indie that can sort out other stuff like power steering, wheel bearings etc.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Ironic. It doesn't say too much about their services on the site; do they do the supercharger work or just the usual stuff?

They have done Supercharger work in the past from what I recall when speaking to Julian (There workshop guy) - In regards to other stuff, that's there bread & butter. I had the 5 pick up some fault causing me to take an unscheduled day off work, it looked like it was either a duff battery or alternator.

Ended up stranded at the Shell station @ Wickham...They towed me to there place, worked on it for about an hour...Then I was away again all for sub £100 inc parts. Faultless service, really friendly & knowlegeable bunch.

Plus, they're quick & easy to get parts from if you fancy doing something yourself.

When we had our Monza it was always serviced here,

http://www.mx5parts.co.uk/

They are located in the lovely Portsmouth - again may be too far for you. You could always book it in and have a day out looking at the, errrmm, concrete.

We never had any complaints though.

Not impressed with them I'm afraid. Their mechanic seems a sound guy, but the set-up just doesn't feel right to me. Also, they don't do superchargers.
