Questions about the Z06 wheel width's
Discussion
Have deiced to buy some Chromes from Northants Tyres (thanks Nigel).
The Z06 wheels they sell are 9.5x17 front
and 9.5 or 10.5x18 rear.
My questions:-
1. Is there more inset on these wheels as the originals are thinner.
2. Does it cause any problems ?
3. Do I need bigger tryes ?
4. What tryes are fitted to the original Z06 ?
5. Do I order the 9.5 or 10.5 rears ?
Cheers in advance for the help..
Merry Christmas by the way..

The standard wheel sizes on the Z06 are 17x9.5 on the front and 18x10.5 on the rear. The fronts are 265/40/17s and the rear tyres are 295/35/18s. The Coupe has wheels that are 1" narrower, tyres that are 5% taller in profile and 20mm narrower.
I haven't been able to persuade Nige to let me try out his wheels on my car yet so don't know if there's any difference in offset ! There's certainly enough room on the Coupe to fit the standard Z06 wheels and tyres in without fouling anything.
Edit - Have a look on tyre manufacturers' websites for a good idea of which tyre fits which size wheel. (Toyo used to have a good guide but I think they've reorganised the site as I can't find it now). For best handling I've heard it recommended that you use comparatively narrow tyres on a given wheel in order to keep the sidewalls as vertical as possible.

Hi Clive,
Well, your thinking about the exact same wheels which I bought from NHT. The wheels fit fine and I've used the original tyres with them. The back tyres fit a treat but I will say that the fronts are a little stretched on ! IT's not a problem but when I come to renew front tyres I think I'll go for the Z06 size. One problem being is that they are not run-flats. You can carry a can of the puncture repair stuff by all means but the only thing that would worry me is if you get a blow out and it wrecks your nice shiny Z06 chromie. BTW. I believe you have been in touch with Stuart about parts so if you venture up this way your always welcome to take a peek at my wheels before you take the plunge !....Paul.

I will be upgrading my Z06 wheels next year via NHT. I am planning to go an inch bigger on the front and the back and load them with Yokohama AVS tyres.
Not sure which rims I will go for yet, but will let you know when I do.
Regarding your questions I think Mr Testicle was answered them all.
Regarding the non-run flats, my Z06 has them and an inflator kit.
