Anybody got a pedal box, with adjustable pedals they no longer want? I believe they were fitted to the S3 and later cars. My darling wife is rather vertically challanged and cannot reach the pedals on our S1, well not enough to fully dip the clutch anyway. So i've either got to make pedal extentions or do a proper job and fit the extendable variety. I'd much rather go this way. Also i'm guessing that the newer pedal box will fit an S1, does anybody know for sure? Thanks in anticipation,

Had the pedal box out of my early (1990) S3 other day to drill larger hole for Fiesta servo pushrod, Didn't look very adjustable to me I'm afraid ? Unless later models or V8's are different ?

S3 Price list shows "Pedal Box - Increased Legroom" and "Pedal Box - Reduced Legroom" as options (each at £31.30 plus VAT) so not adjustable I believe

Correct. It was a factory fit option, not an adjustable pedal box.

Thanks guy's for all your replies. It seems I was given some duff information. It looks like its back to plan A, pedal extentions. Either that or plan C, convincing the mrs that platform soles are back in fashion! I'm getting some spacers made up to bring the pedal treads forward 2.5", that should be enough to make the difference.

i've got a pedal box fitted to mine according to the original invoice. I assumed a short arse was the original buyer and i wanted to remove (or get it removed) eventually, but the earlier post suggests it could have been a lanky bloke with long legs now. oh, the confusion confused.

If it's one to accommodate shorter folk and it's easy to remove (instructions needed) you can have it.

In good old TVR "clear as mud" fashion the shortened pedal box refers to the one that gives extended legroom and the extended pedal box refers to the option for those requiring less leg length.

I'm sure it all made obvious sense in the factory when they decided which way round they were going to call each option........

You would only probably notice with two unfinished tubs side by side I'd have thought.

Its an integral part of the shape of the lower body from the initial build onwards, not something you can easily change later. I don't recall it being a cost option either - I think it was free.

Thanks for offer scoobimax, i'm trying the less radical step of extending the pedals, had some ali blocks cut this morning and removed the sparco after market treads, drilled pedal plates for blocks and took said blocks to be machined to fit treads. And then did the housework before the mrs got home, phew!
