I'm having a real conundrum. I've recently sold my S4 Cab 2006 and been after a 997 C4S Cab (childhood dream). Test drove one yesterday and, having had a boxster a few years back, forgot how raw they were. It was also very 'plasticy' and to be honest I was quite dissapointed. It drove like stink but just did'nt feel quality. My older T reg boxster felt more solid.

I left the showroom and went onto my local audi dealer and saw a spangly brand new A5 Cab in the showroom. Coming from one to the other the Audi turned me on more. I'm dissapointed in myself but now think (although I said I would never buy new) that I'll be ordering an S5 cab this week.

The 05 Porsxche was £43k, my specced S5 cab brand new circa £46k.

Anyone had a similar experience.

They make a similarly lovely noise, not had a go in an S5 cab yet but really looking forward to it.

Really early days - I only viewed the 2.0t sline yestreday at 3pm and came home in a tiswas!!

Have'nt had time to go through the brochure/options properly as yet - what noticeable difference would I see?

Audi have just confirmed I can have the demo car tomorrow!

Drive select with quattro sport diff allows you to give the 4 wheel drive system a rearward bias; the media are raving about it and I'd put good money down it will be considered a 'must have' option much like mag-ride on the R8.

Being a convertible the other essentials will be heated seats and parking sensors, being an S car it will need DVD navigation. Silly not to have the bluetooth kit also, Bose is popular but past that it's just what you want/like/need.

You want to get your name down on an R8 spyder. That's what I'm going to do...
