My Elise Series 2 (K series - 2001) is mis-firing......anyone here had anything similar or can offer any advise of what they think maybe the cause? Thanks for all.

Given the weather, could it be water down the spark plug holes? Whip out the leads and see if theyre wet and rusty at the plug ends.

Exactly that! Mine and another local Elise suffered from these symptoms and in both cases there was a deposit of rain water cocking up the contact of one of the plugs.

Good luck!

Don't S2's have an extra one-piece cover over the top of the engine to try to prevent the water-down-the-plughole problem? Could still easily be that though. Also check inside the distributor cap, as mine has suffered from a damp dizzy in the past with resultant misfire antics.
