Hi! I'm new member to this forum, just hoping its ok to do a small plug for my perfomance car club, The 200 plus Club, and to let you know we are taking part in an Inter club drag race series this year at York dragway.(4 rounds). only £10 to race against some decent cars, not bad for a day out! we will be doing some trackdays with established organisers like RMA (26th may), Easytrack etc, and all the big club shows like Trax 2001 at silverstone. the club has been going for 10 months, we have regional branches all over the country with monthly meetings. members cars range from rover turbo's (240bhp) to a Porsche 911 GT1 (604bhp). in between is just about every type of perfromance car on the road. the entry requirement is 200bhp or more (flywheel) and a love of fast perfromance cars and using them properly. if anyone is interested just email me direct, or have a look at our website and chatgroup. www.200plusclub.co.uk and http://groups.yahoo.com/group/200plus best regards Chris Mann club owner

Well that rules out most Elise's, 340R's and Exige's.

not really, cos we also take into consideration power -to -weight! any of those cars are more than likely to have 200+ bhp per tonne, or more! The 200+ idea was mainly to sort out the real performance cars form the usual "one-make" car clubs, and offer something completely different to the normal clubs. thats why we get anything from Rover coupe turbos (like mine) to Skylines to race cars (porsche GT1) along to trackdays and drag races and the monthly meets. there are a couple of westfields/caterhams and one of the members is currently buying/building a hyabusa engined model. anyway, enough of the sell, anyone interested can contact me if they like. what do you run by the way? regards chris mann
