is it that I'm using the wrong search terms?

A while back there was a thread started by someone who needed a windscreen replaced. The OP had some reservations about what glass would be used thus, he started a thread which, iirc, had a company's name in it (you know, the ones with the jingle and that brummie dude on the advert).

It was quite a lengthy thread - more than several pages of it...

Is there a chance that the thread has been removed because 'someone' didn't like it? Some replies were not in favour of the two largest companies in this country and I feel there may have been a discretionary clean up...

Or I'm being thick - 'cause I can't find it

I did a quick check for any windscreen-related threads that have been removed, and there's none.

Any other clues as to the content of the post/thread?

Can't remember the title, but it may have had Aut*gl*ss or Aut*w*ndscr**ns in the subject line.

I contributed a few times to the thread and it went on for weeks if not months. There was a mention of Porsche screens being manufactured by one of the two mentioned and everyone waded in with their ratings of the two companies.

Can you not click on 'My Info' then 'My Contributions' to find the thread that way?

Paul - it can't be that recent then

For your reference, the PH search only goes back a total of 2 years. You might be better off using Google to find it

This man speaks the truth, at the moment the PH search is limited to more recent topics. If you type siteistonheads.com/gassing/ followed by what you want to search for into google then it works pretty well for older stuff.
