Remastered version of Secret Of Monkey Island, with HD visuals, is now on XBox Live for 800 MS Points! It also includes the option to revert to the old-school graphics for those of a nostalgic nature!

woohoo

I never managed to complete it, so can't help with that one.

But that's a real blast from the past, I played that at school. Does it still have the spitting competition etc?

Maybe it was the fact they ran out of monkeys years ago, but just employed street children in costumes to protect the tourism.

Completed... Didn't get all of the achievements though so will have to do a second play through to mop up...

I know there's one for doing it quickly, thought I'd get it this time but obv didn't - you must have to go through insanely fast otherwise! Another one is to learn all the taunts and parries from the sword master and other pirates... need that too.

145/200 though isn't bad going! I played through in original 16bit graphics, so will do the next playthrough on HD - I love this game!!

I downloaded the trial all ready for retro gaming but....

....I didn't really enjoy it, felt like I was trying to update childhood memories. Some things are best left as nostagia.

All I can say is BRING BACK FULL THROTTLE!!!

I have it on PC, but would love them to revive the remake/part II that got shelved frown

You'd think that given the demand for TV shows like American Chopper there would be plenty of demand for it!

Can't wait for "Day of the Tentacle" myself. Easily my favourite LucasArts game.

you might want to check out http://www.scummvm.org/

also I seem to remember that Full throttle had extensions to SCUM so might not run on the new xbox engine.

just checked the scummvm sight and that seem to think that full throttle works ok so I must have been wrong

Do you remember the Mix n Mojo wheel that came with the Monkey Island series?

The game might have been in 2D but it had so much more depth to it than games today.

Full Throttle was also very cool .... so to was the disc world series and the simon the sorcerer series.

Check this out http://www.games4win.com

it has lots of old school games !

Enjoy smile

Probably my favourite games of all time, will have to get this, even though I've completed them all more than once!

IIRC the secret is....there is no secret. The part in Curse where they are turned into children wasn't real.

I'm busy playing this through. It's awesome. Also the first time my OH has ever watched me play a game for more than 14 seconds.
