My missus took us to Monza for my 30th - it was a complete surprise & it was absolutely fantastic! I'd never been to F1 before & I'll never forget it. Don't know if you've ever been before but its worth doing at least once. I think she said flights to Milan for 2, car hire, 3-day tickets with seats opposite the podium & 4 nights stay in Milan cost less than decent seats at Silverstone & a couple of nights at a crappy B&B....

F1 gets my votethumbup

New York hands down. There's so much to do for everyone.

F1 is great, I've been to a few but I've always been with a load of lads and can't imagine it being the same going with my partner. Don't under estimate how loud the cars are, you'll need ear plugs and hence chatting during the race isn't really all that possible, there's also a lot of waiting around. Don't get me wrong it is awesome to hear the cars and watch it, but if you haven't been to New York before you'll never forget it and you'll be talking about it for ever.

In a few years time grab a last minute holiday to a resort a few hours down the coast from Circuit de Catalunya head up for the day to watch GP.

Rooftop pool bar at Ganservoot Hotel

Bar 89 (at 89 Mercer Street) - really simple food, but bloody brilliant Mojito

Breakfast at Balthazar (or Pastis, but Balthazar gets it for me)

Central Park - outdoor theatre is great.

When are you going?

If you can, try to get to a sports game as they are always fun to see smile When i was in NYC i went to a Knicks basketball game, and Rangers hockey game at The Garden.
