Rollcentre: Full Pack

Two Oreca sports cars bought for Le Mans series

Since racing in Rover Tomcats and the Tuscan Challenge, Martin Short and his team at Rollcentre have moved at great pace through an variety of ever more interesting GT cars.

They're now very excited about their latest purchase: two 2002 ORECA Dallaras that finished 4th and 6th at Le Mans last year. They will be entering the classic Sebring race, and the Le Mans Endurance Series of 4 x 1000km races for 2004. They hope to be invited to race at the Le Mans 24 hours in 2004 (never any guarantees).

The drivers so far will Martin Short and Joao Barbosa and they are looking for a suitable driver to join them to fill the third seat.

The British GT plans will still go ahead with Short adoption more of a managerial role and looking for some young drivers to fill the seats of his Mosler and Noble.

Rollcentre is now in the unique position of having cars in a distinct progression through the sports car ranks, with the Noble in GT Cup, with the Mosler in NGT, and with the Dallaras in LMP 900. That should provide some interesting opportunities for drivers and sponsors alike.

Well done Shorty - have to say I was bloody surprised when I found out! You've picked up the next best thing to an Audi, too. Speaking of which, looks like you'll be up against Veloqx again next year - should be fun...

A more managerial role in BGT 2004, eh? 'Managing' to spend more time trying to steal my cigarettes, probably!

Best of luck at Sebring and beyond.

See you at Donington in April.
