With all the naming and launches of new named TVR's this week....

Most people seem to respond favourably to the cars having names, most people have applauded TVR....

I've been wondering....

Was the 'S' or the Wedge given a name..?
Were any names considered..?

What should they have been..??

The Wedge series started off being called 'Tasmin'. I suppose the 'S' was a throwback to the 3000 S (that was an 'M' series / Taimar without a roof (sort of)).

A 'wedge' is still properly called a TVR Tasmin. However the 'S' is only an 'S' I'm afraid. The idea was to bring the 3000 S (which was a convertible version of the 'M') up to date. The Taimar is different again - I think that's the one without an opening hatchback...?

The name Tasmin was dropped when the 350i came out, afew early 350i were called Tasmin but TVR quickly dropped it .Then they just named them 350i , 390se,and so on .
But they now have a new name

BIG BAD WEDGE
