Help romantic restaurant needed.

Hi all,
I will be taking the better half to london for the weekend to celebrate our 1st wedding aniversary. We are staying at claridges and I would like to book a table on the saturday night somewhere romantic, within easy walking distance/short cab ride.
We do have the option of ramsay's at the hotel but they only have 18:30 and 22:30 free at the moment, which isn't ideal.
So any ideas form the PH massive would be thankfully received.

Romantic - la poule et pot on ebury street.

But I'd take the early Claridges table you will be there for hours if you take the tasting menu and you might equally stuggle to get into a quality place at this later stage everywhere else.

As nice as the setting is, the staff weren't great on times I've been there.

Claridges is good, although I may have fallen asleep during a meal there once...

Can't disagree about the staff. But the snotty (gay*) french thing is part of the charm of the place for me.

Although I have never been Locanda Locatelli does look very good.
How about Le Gavroche, although there is probably a long waiting list?

Thanks everyone.
As it turns out I managed to get a table at ramsay's at claridges for 8pm(cancellation apparently) but I thought clos maggiore looked very nice so booked that for lunch on the sunday.
Just as a note I was told that if I had taken the 6pm slot I would be expected to vacate the table after 2 hours.
Anyway,thanks again for all the suggestions.
