Anyone know what these are? I replaced the dizzy cap and am not sure whether these should go back on. If they are a serviceable item I will replace them, car starts and runs perfect without them though?

Steve

I had them on mine - they are extensions for HT leads when there is a 'cover/cap' thingy on the top of the dizzy - they serve no other purpose.

I removed mine (on the 'bits' shelf now) & have had no problems at all...biggrin

They are called "Adapter/Suppressor" (Motorcraft 6081467).
AFAIK it works just as well without them.

Thanks for the info lads, I will leave them off - less stuff to go wrong.
I have to ask what all the capitals are for? What does YHM, AFAIK and the others I have seen in these forums mean?
Makes a sub 40 bloke feel like a techno-phobe!
Cheers
