Bosch Service Centres - anyone used one?

Asking because I've just dropped my car off at one (lumpy idle, faults being thrown, nasty constant high pitched squeal when accelerator not pressed, and a drive belt of pulley squawking at idle when hot), and they seemed like a decent bunch.

Anyone had any experiences?

And yes perhaps I should have asked *before* leaving them with my motor, but they were open, would take it today and I need it sorted pronto!

Yep, have my cars serviced at a Bosch Centre - Andover Car Service. Very knowledgeable chap who has no qualms about finding cheaper parts, researching an issue, charging a sensible labour rate etc. Very satisfied with the results of working on both of my cars. Which one have you gone for?

My local called J.C.F Car Clinic (just down the road). Seemed like a nice bunch, tidy outfit etc. Was very accomodating seeing as I just rocked up and sheepishly asked if they could try and fix my car's hissy fit before the weekend.

I literally stumbled across it - was going to take it to another place (which to be fair, have failed to return my calls when I've tried to get them to look at something before) but (luckily) they were closed.

Well, maybe I'm expecting too much...

Idle issue: cleared the fault code.
Fan belt: did nothing.

Charged me 50 quid for the privilege.

Maybe the 50 quid was the charge I have to pay for the luxury of the mechanic taking my car for a "road test" which lasted 10 miles and put the trip computer down to 15mpg. Now how would he have managed that I wonder :@

So I basically paid 50 notes for someone to take my car for a burn. Nice.
