COD4 - the best golden gun?

This needs to be settled. I want to know what, in PH's opinion, the best golden gun is on COD4. I'm not after the one you necessarily have, but the one think is the best, the most desirable.

Feel free to debate.

Surely it's the AK because you have to get all the other weapons challenges to get it?

Also it an 'AK' and Saddam Hussein had a Gold one, what more Kudos can you get???

Silenced AK is pretty dam good, but there are better guns in the game.

The golden Drag is a waste of time. (Wish I knew that before I spent all that time getting it)

On each gun you get different camoflages for completing the headshot challenges....

25 head shots gets you "digital"

75 blue tiger stripe

150 red tiger stripe

To get gold you have to complete all the head shot challenges for that group of guns.

So to get a gold ak you have to get red tiger stripe for all the assualt rifles - ie get 150 head shots with each asault rifle.

Oh and each time you prestige it resets your guns so you have to start again.

Check your progress in the challenges section of the barracks.

That's a further shortened AKS47, probably an Iraqi made variant. Easily identified as a '47 by the huge metal magazines, the '74 uses a physically much smaller, plastic magazine.

Got one of them too, never use it , unless its double tap'd with the grip - for taking down choppers.

It was the first one I went for, as it only had 3 weapons in the class.

Put it like this i've racked up 25 days of play - have got a level ten gold cross, and have now started working trhoguh the gun challenges, i've got blue tiger stripes on all my sniper rifles, and digital on all other guns. It takes flippin ages.

Of course some people (they know who they are cough cough) cheat, and might for example play one on one cage matches with friends so allowing them to get all the headshots they need!

Played COD4 last night for the first time in a while, ergghhh!

Everyone runs around with acog'd M40's, no scoping, or quick scoping, made for a very boring match.

To be honest, I wouldn't even bother going for any unlocks on the snipers, just use the default one.

is it obvious I only have Red tiger on a few guns? the MP5?

Why's there no love for the Dragunov? It's a fantastic hardcore sniper rifle.

I'm in the process of working my way towards it and I've nearly got the red tiger class for the awful R700!

I think the golden AK looks the best, although I just don't have the patience trying to get it.

I have no camo on my guns until I get red tiger, that way no-one will know if you are a newbie who hasn't managed 150 headshots with that particular gun
